About the Item

Spinning-top is a unique ceramic sculpture by contemporary artist Tien Wen whose work revolves around the idea of abstraction and the pureness of shapes. 57 cm × 24 cm × 24 cm. Thanks to the raku technique, dear to the artist, the sculpture takes on a metallic aspect close to bronze. This piece is named after the inner chamber of a temple - be it ancient Egyptian, ancient Greek or even orthodox churches - where the image of the deity is housed. In Greek temples a statue of a deity dominated the chamber.
